Fractured certainly lived up to my expectations and standards set by the first book, Sanctum. In all honesty, sequels make me nervous because they either keep me wanting for more or disappoint me. I am thankful and relieved that Sarah Fine went beyond my expectations with this book!
Lela is back from the Shadowlands. She's now the Captain of the Guards and it's now her job to lead them in order to hunt and eradicate the Mazikins. Lela continues to astound me; she's fearless, resilient and totally kicks ass!
The plot is filled with action and there's no dull moments. All throughout the story I was gripping my book tightly! I mean, my kindle! I was extremely terrified of the Mazikins in the first book so just imagine how scared I was now that they're in the human world.
The romance is a lot different this time. We already know Lela and Malachi have feelings for each other, now they must solidify their relationship and work through trials together.
The ending is kind of crazy - a good kind of crazy - but it totally makes sense with this series. The worst part of it is that i have to wait for another year to know what happens next!
